Learn how to permanently delete your PrepDeckAI account
Warning: This action is permanent
Deleting your account will permanently remove all your data, including flashcards, decks, study history, and profile information. This action cannot be undone.
Delete Account on Web
To delete your account on the web version of PrepDeckAI:
- Log in to your PrepDeckAI account
- Click on your profile icon in the top right corner
- Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu
- Scroll down to the "Account" section
- Click the red "Delete Account" button
- Enter your password to confirm the deletion
- Click "Permanently Delete" to confirm
- Check your email for a confirmation link
- Click the link to finalize the deletion
Delete Account on Mobile
To delete your account using the PrepDeckAI mobile app:
- Open the PrepDeckAI mobile app
- Tap the "Profile" icon at the bottom of the screen
- Tap the settings gear icon in the top right corner
- Scroll to the bottom of the settings page
- Tap "Account Settings"
- Tap "Delete Account" (shown in red)
- Enter your password when prompted
- Read the warning and confirm you understand the consequences
- Tap "Yes, Delete My Account"
- Check your email for a confirmation message
- Open the confirmation link to complete the process
Mobile Note:
If you're having trouble finding the delete account option on mobile, you can also request account deletion by emailing us directly at support@prepdeckai.com with "Delete Account Request" in the subject line.
Export Your Data First
Before deleting your account, you may want to export your data:
- Go to "Settings" → "Data & Privacy"
- Click "Download My Data"
- Select the data you want to export (flashcards, decks, analytics, etc.)
- Click "Export" and choose your preferred format (JSON, CSV, or PDF)
- Your data will be prepared and sent to your email within 24 hours
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I recover my account after deletion?
No, account deletion is permanent. All data will be removed from our servers within 30 days. We cannot restore deleted accounts.
What happens to my shared decks?
Any decks you shared with others will no longer be accessible. Users who have them saved will lose access after your account is deleted.
Will I lose my study progress?
Yes, your study history, progress tracking, and analytics will be permanently deleted. Export your data before deletion if you want to keep this information.
What if I'm having technical issues?
Contact our support team at support@prepdeckai.com or hello@prepdeckai.com with "Account Deletion" in the subject line. Include your email address and we'll help you delete your account manually.
How long does deletion take?
Your account will be immediately deactivated after you confirm deletion. Complete removal of your data from our servers takes up to 30 days due to backup retention policies.
Can I delete my account if I'm part of a study group?
Yes, you can delete your account at any time. Other members of your study groups will lose access to your shared content, but the groups can continue without you.
